Hire Resolve’s Client is urgently looking for a Mine Manager to be based at a mine in the Northern Cape!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Sections 22 and 23 of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
  • Lead and coordinate all mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production in compliance with legal and environmental standards.
  • Develop and implement strategic mine plans, schedules, and budgets aligned with business objectives and profitability targets.
  • Manage a multi-disciplinary team and oversee performance, training, and development of staff and business partners.
  • Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHS Act), holding the statutory 3.1(a) appointment and driving a strong safety culture.
  • Oversee contractor performance and productivity across drilling, blasting, load & haul, and road maintenance operation

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Degree in Mining Engineering
  • Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
  • Opencast Blasting Certificate
  • 10 years’ experience in Opencast or Openpit mining and at least 5 years as a 3.1 Legal Appointment in terms of Mine Health and Safety Act
  • Valid Driver’s License
