Job Description
An established oil and lubricant company are seeking a Sales Representative to join their dynamic team in the Vaal Area, Gauteng. The successful candidate will be an operational leader responsible for driving sales growth, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring excellent customer service. You will be supported by a full administrative and logistical team, and comprehensive product and sales training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets through repeat customer visits and relationship management
- Communicate with customers regarding pricing, products, promotions, stock issues, and other relevant information
- Resolve customer complaints, investigate issues, develop solutions, and report findings to management
- Design and implement strategic business plans to expand the customer base
- Monitor and report on sales performance against KPIs weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually
- Identify and develop promotion and advertising opportunities to ensure a suitable ROI
- Optimize sales processes to improve customer satisfaction and productivity
- Maintain company assets and service delivery standards
- Canvass existing and potential customers through sales routes, calling cycles, and appointments
- Provide updated product information, price lists, and special offers
- Manage and influence stakeholder relationships to drive growth
- Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge
- Identify emerging markets, market shifts, and competitor activity
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years’ sales experience
- Driver’s License (Code 8) and own reliable transport
- Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to plan, organize, and manage sales operations
- Computer literacy and business acumen
- Mentoring, coaching, and people management experience
- Experience in the Oil & Lubricants industry advantageous
