Are you passionate about product quality and food safety? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a drive to uphold the highest standards? We are looking for a Quality Specialist to join our client's team in Sedibeng District Municipality, Gauteng.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and approve or reject incoming raw materials and components in accordance with company specifications.
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards using inspection tools and defined parameters.
Conduct detailed inspections of finished products, documenting outcomes and collaborating with production teams to handle non-conformities.
Implement and maintain statistical control methods to prevent and detect defects throughout production.
Maintain and update quality control records including technical data sheets, inspection reports, and certificates of conformity.
Assist in internal audits related to hygiene and food safety systems.
Support company certification initiatives to ensure processes and outputs align with regulatory and industry standards.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by addressing quality deviations and supporting corrective action plans.
Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners, ensuring transparency and operational efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualification in Quality Management, Food Technology, or a related field.
Experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in the food production or manufacturing sector.
Strong knowledge of quality standards, inspection techniques, and food safety regulations.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Experience with machinery relating to bottle caps, bottle closures, corks, and crowns (metal or plastic).
Salary: Negotiable
