If you have a solid foundation in accounting, a strong understanding of risk mitigation, and a desire to grow within a Shariah-compliant banking environment, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Compile detailed credit proposals for the Executive Credit Committee, assessing client financial positions to determine finance eligibility for assets and trade.
  • Analyse financial statements, management accounts, and VAT returns to evaluate the performance of applicants and guarantor entities, including the preparation of balance sheet spreads and information consolidation.
  • Conduct SWOT and sensitivity analyses to identify potential hazards within specific industries or client profiles and propose necessary mitigating factors.
  • Perform qualitative reviews and corporate ratings while researching market trends to determine the affordability of repayments.
  • Investigate client backgrounds, management structures, and credit histories via reports like Kreditinform to verify security confirmations and banking status.
  • Conduct monthly analysis of book debts held as security, liaising with clients to determine recoverability and updating security values within the system.
  • Maintain and update trade review registers and tracking schedules for all revolving asset facilities, ensuring all approval dates and review statuses are current.
  • Gather and review FICA documentation for new and existing clients while ensuring all deal files and checklists are accurately maintained.
  • Respond to technical queries from various Credit Committees and the Board of Directors regarding submitted proposals and financial analyses.

Requirements:

  • Degree or relevant qualification in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience within a Finance or Accounting environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Sound knowledge of Credit Policies and Procedures.
