• Grade 12 and an Opencast Blasting certificate for coal mines / a relevant degree and an Opencast Blasting certificate for coal mines
• 2 different types of opencast machine licenses
• Valid driver’s license 
• 2 years’ experience as a Digger/Dragline Operator / Blaster / completed graduate development Programme.
