A leading poultry processing company is looking for an experienced Shift Manager with strong experience in cold store, logistics, or dispatch operations to join their team in Mahikeng. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing shift operations, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards, enforcing SOPs, and motivating staff to achieve performance targets.
Responsibilities:
Manage all operations during the allocated shift within the Cold Store / Logistics / Dispatch department.
Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Enforce Health and Safety standards during the shift.
Lead, motivate, and supervise shift employees.
Maintain effective communication with other departments and shift managers.
Complete shift reports and assist with stock control and recordkeeping.
Use email and Excel for day-to-day operational tasks.
Report directly to the Cold Store Manager.
Requirements:
Matric (Grade 12).
Strong communication skills in English; a second language is advantageous.
Computer literacy with proficiency in email and Excel.
Good physical health and ability to work in cold environments.
Willingness to work rotating shifts (day and night).
Previous experience in cold store, logistics, or dispatch environments is advantageous.
Proven leadership and people management skills.
