Responsibilities
Credit Proposals:
Analyse financial statements and management accounts to assess applicants and guarantors
Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and consolidate information
Analyse VAT returns and book debts
Research market trends and determine repayment affordability
Obtain and verify client background information
Request credit reports and security confirmations
Create SWOT analyses
Maintain security and arrears tracking
Conduct sensitivity analysis for proposals
Prepare trust review information and identify risks
Respond to management and committee queries
Conduct monthly book debt analysis and updates
Liaise with clients on queries
Trade Finance Reviews:
Maintain and update trade review lists and registers
Track application status and approvals
Maintain outstanding information lists
Review Letters:
Prepare and follow up on trade review letters
General:
Follow up on financial information from clients
Review FICA documentation
Complete necessary checklists
Compile and maintain deal files
Requirements
- Degree or relevant qualifications in Finance/Accounting (highest level of competence)
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the Finance/Accounting environment
- Proficiency in MS Office
Knowledge of:
Credit policies and procedures
Shariah banking principles
Bank’s policies and procedures
Basic knowledge of the bank’s products and services
Finance and accounting principles
