Job Description

Hire Resolve is currently assisting a leading mineral company based in Cape Town CBD in their search for a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of materials and products throughout the supply chain to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Communications: Act as the primary point of contact with various 3PL counterparts, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Supply Chain Tech Tool Management: Oversee and manage the in-house supply chain tech tool, ensuring smooth operation and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Pricing Understanding: Understand bulk transport pricing and assist in managing cost-effective transportation solutions.
  • Commodities Knowledge: Utilise knowledge of commodities to enhance supply chain decisions (additional benefit).
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and reduce carrying costs and standing time.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Order Processing: Manage order processing and ensure accurate and timely fulfilment of customer orders.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain operations.

Requirements:
  • Supply Chain & Logistics Honors or Industrial Engineer Graduate with 1-2 years of experience
  • Strong understanding of supply chains and their optimization
  • Well-spoken individual capable of managing relationships and price discussions with transporters
  • Strong negotiation skills to manage transporter agreements and pricing discussions.
  • Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and optimize the supply chain.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools.
  • Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
  • Understanding the importance of customer satisfaction and striving to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and handle unexpected challenges in a dynamic environment.
