An established and reputable construction company based in Cape Town is seeking to employ a Health and Safety Officer to join their growing team.

This is a permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with some practical experience in construction health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain the company’s health and safety policies and procedures on construction sites.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and safety training to site personnel.
  • Investigate incidents and report findings to management.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety compliance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience as a Health and Safety Officer within the construction industry.
  • Relevant qualification or certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
