An established and reputable construction company based in Cape Town is seeking to employ a Health and Safety Officer to join their growing team.
This is a permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with some practical experience in construction health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain the company’s health and safety policies and procedures on construction sites.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
- Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant occupational health and safety legislation.
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety training to site personnel.
- Investigate incidents and report findings to management.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to safety compliance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience as a Health and Safety Officer within the construction industry.
- Relevant qualification or certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
