Job Description

Hire Resolve's client is a leading packaging company based in the Western Cape. They are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee their packaging warehouse operations in the Western Cape on a 6-month contract. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in warehouse management in the packaging industry and a strong understanding of warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Dispatch (Outbound) – The management of the dispatching department to achieve OTD (On time deliveries).
  • Receiving & Storage (Inbound) – The management of the receiving department and its processes that include supplier quality management, data processing, labelling, safe packing, and storage.
  • Internal stock transfers – Manage all internal stock transfer requirements between regional warehouses.
  • Stock returns and credits notes – ensure correct internal processes relating to returned stock and credit notes.
  • Internal damaged stock and factory faults – escalations and resolutions.
  • Inventory Management – Leading all stock count requirements for the warehouse. Ensure no losses are sustained.
  • Stock level management – Monitoring of stock and consumable levels, procurement escalations for replenishment.
  • In-house production - Work in conjunction with the production and sales team relating to orders and fulfillment.
  • Third party service providers – Maintain long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with all service providers.
  • Customer queries/complaints – Managing all internal and external queries and resolving.
  • Inventory paperwork – Manage all data capturing and document generation.
  • Safety and Risk – To ensure compliance to all relevant safety and risk policies and procedures within the workplace.
  • Asset management – To safely store and verify that all assets are counted for and are in place.
  • Maintain filing / records – Managing the recording and storing of all documentation.
  • Security – Manage and oversee relevant security measures, system and processes were applicable.
  • Payroll – Leave management, flexi staff payment reconciliations, payment requests, and contracts management.
  • Staff Management and performance – proactively monitor the performance of the team through oversight of daily outputs.
  • Training & Development – Monitor and coordinate team operational training requirements.
  • HR Management – Manage all team HR-related issues / requirements, with guidance from HR.
  • Policies, processes, and procedures – Ensure that work performed by the team remains compliant will all policies.
  • Submission of Monthly reports – The submission of reports as per requirements.


Requirements:
  • A minimum Matric, together with at least 2 years proven experience in similar warehouse management/supervisory role.
  • A logistics or supply chain qualification.
  • Proven experience within a warehouse operations environment. Experience with food packaging is
  • Proven experience / capability in performing warehouse operational functions, processes, and activities.
  • Proven customer service skills within dispatch and service
  • Proven 3rd party vendor and courier management skills in a logistics environment.
  • Excellent co-ordination and administrative duties with acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent professional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team management skills, ability to direct, delegate, develop and discipline staff when required.
  • The ability to work under pressure, with multiple tasks at any given time.
  • Problem solving ability and conflict management experience is essential.
  • Experience with WMS, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office is essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through various channels.
  • Must understand efficiency, workload, and workflow.
  • Willing to work on a 6-month contract
