A leading start-up in the beverage industry is looking for an experienced Juice Manufacturing Production Consultant with strong R&D expertise and in-depth knowledge of the South African juice manufacturing sector to support the development of their new juice production facility. This is a remote consultancy role, ideal for a candidate with proven experience in juice formulation, machinery specification, and production planning. The successful candidate will play a critical role in product development, machinery recommendations, and shaping the technical roadmap of the operation.
Responsibilities:
Consult on healthy juice product formulation, product line development, and R&D strategy
Support development of various juice SKUs including 100% juice, blends, and pulp-based products
Recommend appropriate juice processing machinery (blenders, pasteurizers, fillers, cappers, labelling machines, etc.)
Advise on overall production setup and machinery needs
Provide technical input to the blueprint and operational plan for manufacturing
Contribute to the technical section of the company’s business plan
Requirements:
Extensive experience in the South African juice manufacturing industry
Strong background in R&D, production process design, and technical operations
Proven knowledge of juice processing methods such as cold pressing, pasteurization, and filling technologies
Prior or current experience at well-established juice manufacturing companies is required
Based in South Africa, with familiarity in local juice manufacturing practices, standards, and supply chain
