A construction consulting firm providing expert support in occupational health and safety across major building projects in South Africa, is currently seeking a Construction Occupational Health and Safety Intern based in the Western Cape. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about building a career in occupational health and safety within the construction sector.
Responsibilities
Report to construction occupational health and safety consultants and carry out tasks assigned by management.
Assist with general administrative duties related to construction occupational health and safety.
Support the team with site and documentation inspections.
Learn and apply construction occupational health and safety procedures under supervision.
Assist with the compilation of reports and administrative tasks.
Assist with the execution of Condition Assessments and the compilation of Feasibility Studies.
Demonstrate willingness to travel as required.
Be willing to work overtime and on weekends when necessary.
Requirements
Qualifications and Registrations:
SAMTRAC or similar certification.
Construction Occupational Health and Safety training.
Skills and Attributes:
Fluency in Afrikaans.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong interest in pursuing a long-term career in construction occupational health and safety.
Additional Requirements:
Own reliable transport.
Excellent health and ability to travel as required.
