A leading recycling and manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of its GP East Region facilities.
The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, manage branch managers, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations while driving productivity and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct and manage daily operations, including processing, baling, and shipping of recyclable materials
• Oversee operational budgets, cost control, and resource allocation
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and other departments to align operations with business goals
• Develop and implement strategic plans for growth, process improvement, and cost optimization
• Manage projects from initiation to completion on time and within budget
• Lead, train, and mentor Branch Managers and their teams
• Ensure strict compliance with safety policies and environmental regulations; conduct audits
• Continuously monitor and optimize production processes using lean methodologies
• Oversee equipment maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance schedules
• Manage inventory flow, logistics, and coordination with suppliers and transport teams
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma; management certification advantageous
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role within recycling, waste management, or manufacturing
• Strong understanding of recycling processes, material types (plastics, paper, metals), and market trends
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations
• Financial management, budgeting, and cost analysis experience
• Leadership, team management, and staff development skills
• Proficient with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Own transportation required
