Job Description

Hire Resolve's client is a leading steel company in Gauteng, specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of steel products. They are currently seeking a talented and motivated individual to join their team as an Internal Sales Representative.

Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and verifying incoming inquiries via telephone and email
  • Communicating to relevant personnel with regard to credit application should the client require assistance with account queries
  • Maintaining a daybook of all incoming inquiries, e.g. sales queries
  • Submitting quotations via email to the customer
  • Reviewing of official orders against SYSPRO-generated quotation
  • Assisting COD customers
  • Processing of all acceptable orders into the Syspro system
  • Resolving any variances between order and quotation
  • Generating and processing buy-out orders to approved suppliers including work-in-progress orders and the expediting thereof
  • Liaison with the Managing Director, and Sales Managers on technical issues
  • Generating Credit Notes and submitting them to the Managing Director for approval
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements and offer technical support
  • Work with the Fabrication / Stores team to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Ensure quotes are complete and sent to customers within the stipulated turn-around times
  • Build and maintain good relationships with customers and ensure retention of existing customers
  • Refer customer complaints to the Quality Department
  • Communicate any specific delivery requirements to the Warehouse Manager on delivery time
  • Adhere to sales budgets and targets as instructed

Requirements:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of experience in the stainless steel industry e.g. Pipe, fitting, flanges, and sheet
  • 3 years of working knowledge of SYSPRO e.g. processing of orders and closing/completion of order processes - must also have knowledge of back order process, buy–out orders, work-in-progress orders, and quotations
  • Ability to promote and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of COD procedures
  • Good communication skills, people relation skills, and interpersonal skills (internal and external)
  • Knowledge of general administrative processes
  • Must be able to do basic maths and measurement conversions
  • Must be able to come up with solutions to customer queries and solve problems
  • Knowledge of the credit application process related to the company
