Our client is expanding their service offering and is looking for an experienced Reefer Monitoring Agent to join their team in Woodstock/Paarden Eiland. This role will be based at the port and a satellite office. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and troubleshooting refrigerated containers used for exporting high-value perishable products.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare refrigerated containers with specialized atmosphere control systems.
• Coordinate with container depots and logistics providers to ensure container readiness.
• Conduct inspections, install devices, perform leak tests, and manage flushing/gassing of containers.
• Actively monitor and observe newly installed devices on containers.
• Process and complete work orders, job cards, and installation reports.
• Order equipment supplies and maintain stock levels of parts.
• Carry out technical repairs on shipping containers.
• Perform reworks and warranty repairs at designated locations.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent; technical certifications in refrigeration or related fields are advantageous.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in reefer monitoring, with at least 1 year in a technical role involving servicing or repairing refrigerated containers.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical wiring, and cooling unit troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Controlled Atmosphere (CA) technology systems.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and planning skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy with basic proficiency in MS Office.
• Physically fit with the ability to work outdoors and after hours when required.
