Our client, a leader in the Glass manufacturing and distribution sector, is looking for an Operations Manager to take ownership of all warehouse and logistics functions across a fast-paced operation.
As the Operations Manager, you’ll ensure efficient supply chain performance, develop high-performing teams, and drive operational improvements that align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily warehouse and logistics operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and dispatch
Develop and implement strategies to optimise workflow, reduce costs, and improve turnaround times
Lead and motivate warehouse and logistics teams to meet KPIs and service standards
Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and relevant legislation
Monitor fleet utilisation and coordinate distribution planning
Analyse operational data and generate reports for senior management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, sales, and procurement
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Operations Management within a warehouse and logistics environment, preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent understanding of supply chain processes, inventory control, and distribution planning
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Excel
A relevant tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain, or operations management is preferred
Ability to work under pressure and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills
