Our client is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of our chemical warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a team in a chemical warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and best practices. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with team members and upper management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the chemical warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping chemicals in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA regulations, and implement best practices to minimize risk of accidents or incidents
- Train, supervise, and provide guidance to warehouse staff, ensuring all team members are properly trained on safety procedures and handling of chemicals
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits to ensure inventory levels are accurate and up-to-date
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely delivery of chemicals to meet production schedules
- Develop and implement efficiency improvements to streamline warehouse processes and reduce costs
- Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, including inventory levels, productivity metrics, and safety records
- Communicate regularly with upper management to provide updates on warehouse operations and address any issues or concerns that may arise
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical warehouse management, with a proven track record of success
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations pertaining to chemical handling and storage
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and upper management
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software
- Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment
