A leading manufacturer in the food-grade packaging and container industry is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Operations Manager to join their dynamic team. This is a pivotal role for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is committed to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Oversight: Manage daily manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules are met on time and within budget.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and resource allocation.

  • Quality & Compliance: Maintain rigorous quality control standards, ensuring all products meet food-safety and industry-specific regulations.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.

  • Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with procurement and logistics to ensure seamless material flow and inventory management.

  • Maintenance & Safety: Oversee plant maintenance schedules and ensure 100% compliance with Health and Safety (HSE) standards.

  • Financial Management: Manage operational budgets, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in a senior operations or production management role, preferably within the packaging or plastics industry.

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., thermoforming or injection molding) and Lean Manufacturing principles.

  • Leadership: Proven track record of managing large teams and driving organizational change.

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • NB: Experience in food-grade packaging environments and familiarity with BRC or ISO quality standards is highly advantageous.
