A reputable and established professional quantity surveying consultancy known for delivering high-quality services across South Africa’s private sector construction industry, is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with experience in private sector development and a background in PQS consulting to work on exciting commercial and mixed-use construction contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the quantity surveying process from inception to final account.

• Prepare and monitor cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.

• Administer financial aspects of construction projects including valuations and variations.

• Perform contract administration duties, including preparation of interim payment certificates.

• Attend site and client meetings, providing technical and financial advice as needed.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and contractual obligations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in private sector development within a PQS (Professional Quantity Surveying) firm.

• Proven experience working on commercial and mixed-use developments.

• BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

• SACQSP registration (PrQS) is preferable.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.
