Job Description

A leading wealth management company is seeking a dedicated Wealth Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will provide professional support to Advisors, assisting with the administration and implementation of clients’ financial reviews and investment instructions. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with experience in financial services, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

1. Processing New and Existing Client Business

  • Implement clients’ instructions regarding investments, insurance policies, etc., in consultation with the Advisor and submit relevant documentation to appropriate service providers.

  • Obtain confirmation from service providers regarding the implementation of instructions.

  • Communicate and confirm investment instruction implementation with clients in writing.

2. Servicing Existing Clients

  • Assimilate investment/fund values, investment performance statistics, and other relevant client information.

  • Compile, bind, and prepare proposals and client review documentation.

  • Make payments on behalf of clients through the corporate saver account.

3. General Administration

  • Schedule meetings for the Wealth Manager/Advisor and organize diaries.

  • Record client interactions and update client records accordingly.

  • Assist with preparation of client annual reviews.

  • Maintain client records and databases according to company policies.

  • Conduct beneficiary risk rating and screenings.

  • Assist with Wealth Special Projects on an ad-hoc basis.

  • Proactively manage tasks to ensure all instructions are completed efficiently.


Requirements

  • Matric

Experience:

  • Administrative/secretarial experience is essential

  • 2–3 years’ experience in the investment/financial services industry

Core Requirements and Competencies:

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Proficient in Afrikaans and English (read, write, speak)

  • Competent in service provider website functionalities

  • Understanding of service provider products
