Job Description

A well-established engineering solutions provider serving clients across multiple industrial sectors, is currently seeking a Software Engineer to join their team based in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with strong PLC and SCADA experience to contribute to cutting-edge automation projects.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain PLC programs for industrial automation systems

  • Integrate and configure SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control

  • Collaborate with electrical and instrumentation teams to ensure seamless project execution

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLC/SCADA software and hardware

  • Support commissioning and testing phases of projects on client sites

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and company procedures


Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in PLC programming

  • Proven experience working with SCADA systems

  • BSc in Electrical Engineering preferred

    • Alternatively, a strong BTech candidate with relevant experience will be considered

  • Hands-on experience with platforms such as Schneider, Siemens, Rockwell, ABB

  • Intermediate-level proficiency with Schneider platforms is highly preferred due to internal systems

  • Excellent problem-solving and project coordination skills
