A leading manufacturing and engineering company is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in steel, mining, or manufacturing environments to join their team in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of post-graduation engineering experience, advanced skills in SolidWorks or CAD, and proven expertise in tender processes, quotations, and project execution.

Responsibilities:

• Assist senior engineers with the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components.

• Perform technical calculations and analyses to ensure safe and efficient designs.

• Attend project meetings and contribute to planning and execution phases.

• Conduct studies, simulations, and other technical support tasks.

• Stay informed on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering.

• Follow all health, safety, and company protocols.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.

• Participate in problem-solving sessions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.

Requirements:

• BEng Mechanical Engineering / BSc Mechanical Engineering.

• Minimum of 4 years’ post-graduate experience in manufacturing, mining, or steel industries.

• Strong experience with SolidWorks or CAD and FEA’s.

• Solid understanding of mechanical design principles.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

• Advanced experience in tender processes, projects, and quotations.

• Proven experience in steel and manufacturing environments.

• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.

• Strong planning, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
