Our client is looking for a Junior Controller to join their team in Woodmead. The ideal candidate will have experience in the freight forwarding industry and a strong ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment. This role will support two senior controllers with day-to-day operational functions, and will be offered on a 3-year fixed-term contract, with the potential for renewal.

Responsibilities:

• Register shipment files on Ship Shape

• Upload documentation to internal systems

• Track ETA updates and export stacks

• Process RCG files

• Request invoices from shipping lines and airlines

• Track unpacking processes and book time slots at depots for cargo collection

• Batch documents for customs submissions

• Batch documents for Port Health, Plant Inspections, and driver deliveries

• Complete clearing instructions on Ship Shape

• Complete transport instructions on Ship Shape

• Communicate shipment updates to senior controllers

Requirements:

• Experience in the freight forwarding industry (air or sea imports; exports and multimodal experience advantageous)

• Knowledge of Ship Shape software is a bonus

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and work under pressure

• Willingness to work overtime and on weekends when required

• Available to start as soon as possible

• Salary: negotiable.
