Purpose Statement

• To analyse the technical specifications to identify the business requirements.
• To prepare and execute test cases.

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
• Software Testing - Foundation Level through the International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB)

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Software Testing or Information Technology

Experience

Min:

• No less than 2-3 years' proven formal experience in QA testing within a similar environment
• Front-end testing experience

Ideal (nice to have):

• Banking IT system exposure
• Experience in Integration, Regression, Automation and Non-Functional testing
• Exposure to testing tools
• Release management exposure
• Experience testing on a mobile app / different types of devices (e.g., iOS, Android, Huawei, etc.)

Knowledge

Min:

• Detailed knowledge of:
  • The full IT project lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Formal testing practices
  • Software and hardware testing

Ideal (nice to have):

• Application of test tools

• Financial / Banking IT related systems
