Job Description

A key player in the logistics industry is seeking an experienced Consolidations Manager to oversee and manage the financial consolidation process across multiple entities and subsidiaries. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely consolidated financial reporting, while providing meaningful financial insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making within a complex, fast-paced environment.

Responsiblities 
  • Lead and manage the sub-consolidation process to ensure accurate and timely group financial reporting

  • Consolidate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

  • Perform intercompany eliminations and account reconciliations

  • Prepare and analyse consolidated financial results and provide insights to senior management and stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls

  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial consolidation and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making

  • Collaborate with senior executives, business unit leaders, and external auditors

  • Communicate financial results, explain variances, and recommend actions to improve financial performance

  • Analyse complex financial data, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights

  • Assist with audit preparation and support audit processes


Requirements 

  • Proficiency in financial consolidation systems and reporting tools

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capability

  • Qualified CA(SA)

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in finance, with a strong focus on group consolidations and financial reporting

  • Strong financial and analytical skills with a results-driven mindset

  • Solid understanding of accounting and finance processes, practices, and compliance requirements

  • Logical and structured problem-solving ability, particularly in complex consolidation environments

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English essential

  • Ability to communicate technical financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial consolidation methodologies, and reporting standards (IFRS and/or US GAAP)
