Hire Resolve's client, a leading mining company, is currently seeking a skilled Millwright to join their team in Kuruman, Northern Cape.
Requirements
- Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or N3
- Millwright Trade Test Certificate
- 3 to 5 years Millwright experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems (SAP)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery to ensure operational availability.
- Notify management of any additional defects, required spare parts, and extra time needed for repairs.
- Complete assigned tasks within the specified time frame and budget constraints.
- Identify root causes of excessive downtime and implement permanent solutions.
- Test equipment for proper functionality and safety before returning it to production.
- Install equipment and components following the required specifications.
- Complete installations within the agreed-upon time and budget limits.
- Verify equipment functionality after installation and before handover.
- Offer advice and guidance on processes, standards, and best practices.
- Provide timely recommendations to support problem-solving efforts.
- Share insights and lessons learned with team members to improve overall competency.
- Uphold high housekeeping standards in the work environment.
- Regularly clean equipment according to established standards.
- Ensure tools are properly stored and maintained.
- Use and care for personal protective equipment (PPE) in compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform tasks in alignment with SHE (Safety, Health, and Environmental) standards and relevant instructions.
- Participate in safety meetings as required.
- Keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
- Take appropriate safety measures during maintenance activities.
