Hire Resolve's client is seeking a Head of Marketing to lead and manage the marketing team in their beverage manufacturing company based in the Western Cape. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote our products and increase brand awareness. This role requires a strategic thinker with a creative mind and solid leadership skills to drive business growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Adapt and execute international marketing guidelines for local markets.
  • Build brand presence by engaging with venue staff, decision-makers, owners, and influencers.
  • Create, coordinate, and approve custom installations.
  • Support Musketeers and Key Account Managers with tool and concept implementation.
  • Collaborate with the national marketing team.
  • Translate research and insights into actionable strategies and programs.
  • Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities.
  • Manage and allocate POS tools, ensuring correct placement.
  • Develop initiatives and adapt national campaigns for On-Premise segments.
  • Implement initiatives to drive brand awareness and consumer engagement.
  • Create and activate consumer-facing events.
  • Collaborate with brand, culture, sports, and media teams.
  • Manage and effectively allocate the POS portfolio.
  • Develop marketing strategies for On-Premise segments like bars, clubs, and HORECA.
  • Create activation plans to increase distribution and volume.
  • Develop staff engagement platforms for decision-makers, managers, and frontline staff.
  • Collaborate on event and festival strategies with the On Premise Events Manager.
  • Coordinate marketing activities and POS activations for events and festivals.
  • Work with customer and internal marketing teams to integrate account programming.
  • Support category management for Catering and QSR segments.
  • Identify trends and develop marketing solutions for On Premise segments.
  • Lead and develop the On Premise team through training and onboarding.
  • Build networks with agencies, influencers, and decision makers for collaborations.
  • Collaborate with research teams to turn insights into actionable strategies.
  • Efficiently allocate and manage the On Premise marketing budget.
  • Share best practices and case studies within national and international teams.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the company in the On Premise sector.

Requirements:
  • University – Bachelor’s degree preferred (business, marketing or similar).
  • 5+ years of marketing and/or sales experience
  • In-depth knowledge of bars, clubs and festivals and the broader On Premise
  • Knowledge of the On Premise industry and trade is required
  • Solid understanding of sales processes
  • Strong planning and project management competencies
  • Proven ability to translate strategies into execution
  • Strong leadership and team management
  • Self-motivated, passionate, ambitious and a creative mind
  • Exceptional communication skills, including presenting and training abilities
  • Commercial awareness and acumen (understanding of sales and finance processes).
  • Strong analytical skills (analyse consumer, sales and customer data).
  • Self-motivated, innovative, solution-oriented mindset, self-directed, do-it-now” attitude, flexible and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment
