A leading packaging company is looking for an experienced Stock & Logistics Manager with strong expertise in warehouse operations, logistics management, and stock control to join their team in Cape Town. The role involves managing stock, distribution, logistics, and related operational functions while ensuring compliance, efficiency, and strategic development within the warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee team management including planning, delegation, conflict resolution, coaching, and payroll.

  • Ensure compliance and manage safety, risk, and security procedures.

  • Manage distribution and asset functions including inventory audits, warehousing, order processing, transportation, delivery, and damage/fault resolution.

  • Oversee onsite IT and systems management to ensure efficient infrastructure operation.

  • Manage export functions including trade regulations, customs, logistics strategies, international relationships, and after-sales customer service.

  • Oversee returns and reverse logistics management.

  • Manage archive and record systems.

  • Compile logistics reports, reconciliations, and manage financial payment scheduling.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Matric with at least 2 years of proven experience in a warehouse management/supervisory role.

  • A logistics or supply chain qualification.

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations (food packaging experience advantageous).

  • Strong customer service experience in dispatch and logistics.

  • Experience in 3rd party vendor and courier management.

  • Strong administrative, coordination, and attention to detail skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proven team management ability including delegation, staff development, and discipline.

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills.

  • Experience with WMS, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong understanding of efficiency, workload, and workflow management.
