A leading supplier within the equipment and FMCG sector is looking for an experienced Brand Manager with strong experience in sales, key account management, and business development to join their team in Johannesburg. This role is heavily sales-driven (approximately 90% sales and 10% marketing) and focuses on growing and managing a portfolio of brands through client engagement, training, and strategic account development.

Responsibilities:

• Generate leads and actively prospect for new business opportunities
• Drive growth across new and existing customer accounts
• Develop business through referrals and relationship networks
• Conduct on-site customer training and provide ongoing support and refresher sessions
• Ensure customers maintain adequate stock levels at all times
• Compile and submit weekly progress and performance reports
• Plan and conduct regular visits to clients locally and internationally
• Manage customer relationships and resolve any service or product-related issues
• Collaborate with marketing to effectively promote and position brands
• Support Key Account Managers in identifying and executing growth opportunities
• Liaise with procurement on strategic initiatives and stock planning
• Maintain a structured customer visit schedule (majority end users, remainder dealers)
• Perform additional duties as required

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (essential) and a relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role
• 3–5 years’ experience in a strategic or leadership capacity
• Proven sales track record, ideally within equipment sales or FMCG
• Background in Sales Executive, Sales-focused Brand Management, or Key Account Management
• Strong customer relationship management and communication skills
• Ability to train, present, and engage with clients effectively
• Good financial acumen and reporting ability
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
• Willingness to travel regularly, including outside South Africa
• Professional presentation and strong work ethic
