About the Role

This is a senior, compliance-critical position responsible for the end-to-end management of payroll operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial control, ensuring statutory compliance, and managing labour costs within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

•  Multi-Branch Management: Oversee weekly wage and monthly salaried payrolls across multiple branches.

•  Compliance: Ensure full adherence to all relevant South African legislation (including SARS, BCEA, LRA, and POPIA).

•  Reporting & Reconciliation: Manage payroll-to-GL reconciliations and provide detailed labour cost reporting to management.

•  Systems Oversight: Optimize payroll systems and manage time & attendance integration.

•  Strategic Control: Implement strong internal controls and standardize processes across all operational branches.

Minimum Requirements

•  Education: Diploma or Degree in Payroll, Finance, Accounting, or HR.

•  Experience: 5–8 years of robust payroll experience, preferably within industrial, manufacturing, or similar high-volume sectors.

•  Expertise: Proven track record in multi-branch payroll environments and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

•  Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation and experience with payroll platforms (e.g., Agrigistics or similar).
