A leading South African logistics and energy services company, specialising in road freight distribution and the downstream supply of petroleum products, is looking for an experienced Operations Manager with strong experience in road freight operations, transport logistics, and petroleum distribution to join their team in Durban.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage daily transport and road freight operations

• Ensure efficient fleet utilisation and route planning

• Monitor and optimise logistics performance and operational KPIs

• Manage and mentor operational staff, including drivers and support teams

• Ensure compliance with transport and petroleum industry regulations

• Collaborate with internal departments to meet operational targets

• Control operational costs and contribute to budgeting processes

Requirements:

• Proven experience in operations management within the road freight and logistics industry

• Relevant transport, logistics, or supply chain qualification

• Strong knowledge of fuel distribution or petroleum logistics operations

• Excellent leadership and organisational skills

• Ability to work under pressure and drive performance improvements
