This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong individual with a background in software engineering or computer science to support and enhance advanced analytics systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining production-level data science solutions, including models, pipelines, and dashboards, with a keen eye for performance, reliability, and continuous improvement. This is a fully remote role, perfect for a proactive problem-solver with a passion for operational excellence in data environments. If you have at least 4 years of experience, a strong foundation in Python, SQL, and cloud-based tools, and have worked in high-calibre environments, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain data-driven systems, including predictive models, pipelines, dashboards, and APIs in production.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to performance degradation, data inconsistencies, or infrastructure stability.
  • Implement automated checks and alerts to track system health, accuracy, and data quality.
  • Perform regular updates and patches to tools, dependencies, and environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to improve code structure and maintainability.
  • Document changes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides for transparency and team knowledge-sharing.
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to minimize system downtime.
  • Ensure maintained systems align with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance reliability, efficiency, and performance of deployed solutions.

Requirements:

  • A completed degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a relevant role such as data engineering, machine learning operations, or software system maintenance.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting and programming languages commonly used in data workflows (e.g., Python, R).
  • Solid experience with SQL and working with large, complex datasets.
  • Familiarity with production environments and maintaining live analytics or data-driven applications.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices, version control systems (e.g., Git), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and understanding of cloud-native tools and practices.
