A leading South African manufacturing organisation is looking for an experienced National Planning & Data Optimisation Manager with strong experience in data analytics, national planning, forecasting, and people management to join their team. This role focuses on driving data-driven decision-making, improving planning accuracy, and optimising operational performance across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse operational, production, supply chain, and financial data to identify trends and improvement opportunities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools

  • Manage and query SQL databases and integrate data from ERP and planning systems

  • Lead national production and inventory planning aligned to capacity and demand

  • Improve forecasting accuracy and inventory performance

  • Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives

  • Develop optimisation models and scenario analyses to support decision-making

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, finance, and IT teams

  • Implement data-driven solutions and ensure continuous monitoring and refinement

  • Manage, coach, and develop team members to ensure effective execution

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Business Intelligence, or a related field

  • Proven experience in managing and leading people

  • 3–7 years’ experience in data analytics, production planning, or operations optimisation

  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, SQL, ERP systems, and planning/optimisation tools

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing and planning environments

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
