Responsibilities:
Provide on-site technical support and commissioning assistance for assay laboratory furnace temperature control systems.
Diagnose and assist with the troubleshooting of thyristor panels, PID controllers, and furnace automation hardware.
Conduct technical site visits to support the rollout, maintenance, and optimization of control systems.
Liaise with engineering and service teams to resolve technical issues and ensure the smooth operation of equipment.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with lab managers, supervisors, and technical buyers within the mining sector.
Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, retrofits, or service improvements and refer these internally.
Compile technical feedback and detailed support reports for both internal teams and customers.
Travel regularly to mine and laboratory sites to provide hands-on representation and support.
Requirements:
Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Industrial Automation.
At least 3 years in a field service, applications support, or technical client liaison role.
Hands-on experience with thyristor control panels and temperature control systems used in fire assay or metallurgical furnaces.
Understanding of PID temperature control loops, SCRs, SSRs, and furnace heating logic.
Prior work in mining assay labs or furnace manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with Phasecon, Eurotherm, Omron, or Siemens control hardware.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to mine/lab sites.
