A leading industrial engineering company is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer with strong experience in technical/solutions sales within industrial environments (such as rotating equipment, engineered components, or reliability solutions) to join their team in KwaZulu-Natal. This role focuses heavily on distributor engagement and development, requiring a commercially astute individual who can drive revenue growth through value-based selling and strong client relationships. The successful candidate will work closely with an outgoing incumbent to ensure a smooth handover and continuity within the region.

Responsibilities:

• Drive revenue and margin growth within the KZN territory
• Develop and manage distributor and channel partner relationships
• Conduct regular client visits, including plant and site engagements (70% travel)
• Deliver value-based, technical solution selling to customers
• Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting using CRM tools
• Identify new business opportunities and expand existing accounts
• Collaborate internally to ensure customer satisfaction and solution delivery

Requirements:

• BSc/BEng/BTech in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field)
• 5–8 years’ experience in technical/solutions sales within industrial environments
• Proven experience working with distributors or channel partners
• Strong understanding of mechanical/engineered products and applications
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region
• Ability to reside in or relocate to Central Durban or within a 40km radius
• Strong commercial acumen, communication, and relationship-building skills
