This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the full maintenance function across a high-speed production environment, including two sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing plant equipment—particularly in plastic extrusion, compounding, or injection moulding—and be proactive, technically sound, and committed to operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective maintenance schedules

  • Supervise and lead a team of artisans and technicians, including hiring, training, and performance management

  • Ensure optimal reliability and availability of machinery and systems, including injection moulding equipment

  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective resolutions

  • Coordinate maintenance with other departments to minimise production disruptions

  • Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and critical spare parts

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and regulatory compliance

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support plant performance and efficiency

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards and conduct regular audits and inspections

  • Manage external contractors and vendor relationships

Requirements:

  • Trade Test or Engineering qualification (Electrical/Mechanical)

  • Minimum 10 years of maintenance experience, including 5+ years in a managerial or supervisory role

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing setting (plastic injection moulding or extrusion highly advantageous)

  • Strong technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems

  • Proven leadership and communication skills, with a proactive and hands-on approach

  • Solid understanding of occupational safety standards and compliance procedures

  • Stable employment history preferred

Benefits:

  • Salary: negotiable.
