Hire Resolve's client is looking for a motivated and experienced Supply Chain and Planning Manager to join their team in the food production industry in the Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, procurement, production planning, and logistics within the food production sector.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of products
• Manage and coordinate procurement activities, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships
• Oversee production planning and scheduling to ensure efficient use of resources and meet production timelines
• Evaluate and improve inventory management processes to minimize waste and maximize product availability
• Coordinate logistics and distribution to ensure the smooth flow of products from production to customers
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Lead a team of supply chain and planning professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management and planning, preferably in the food production industry
• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in Factory Scheduling, Demand Planning, and Capacity Planning.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to analyze data and make sound decisions to improve supply chain performance
• Experience in Syspro and Microsoft Office Suite
