Toolmaker – Injection Moulding

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Toolmaker with strong experience in injection moulding to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities:

• Manufacture, service, and maintain precision injection moulds to tight tolerances.

• Perform fault-finding and diagnostics on moulds and associated tooling equipment.

• Operate milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, and CNC machinery as required.

• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on tooling components.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings to execute precise tooling tasks.

• Ensure that all tooling work complies with health, safety, and quality standards.

• Collaborate with the production and design teams to optimise tooling performance and reliability.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Recognised Toolmaker Trade Test qualification.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a toolmaking role, specifically in plastic injection moulding.

• Proven experience working with precision tools, CNC equipment, and complex mould designs.

• Strong understanding of mould flow, cooling, and ejection systems.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

NB: Candidates must have recent and relevant experience in the plastic moulding industry to be considered for this role.
