Hire Resolve's client, a leading mining company, is currently seeking a skilled Senior VOHE to join their team based in Limpopo.

Requirements

- Degree in Occupational Hygiene or a related science field at NQF Level 7.

- COM Advanced Certificate in Mine Environment at NQF Level 6.

- Diploma in Environmental Health. (advantageous)

- Membership with the Mine Ventilation Society of South Africa and/or registration as an Occupational Hygienist with the South African Institute of Occupational Hygiene (SAIOH).

- Min 7 years of hands-on experience in the Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene sector, with a minimum of 5 years in a Mining and/or Concentrating Plant environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Convert organizational strategies into actionable plans.

- Design and implement Occupational Hygiene and Ventilation systems, along with long-term strategies.

- Collaborate with relevant experts to identify needs and establish ventilation and occupational hygiene policies, procedures, and standards.

- Ensure alignment with group standards and policies.

- Maintain compliance with legal requirements.

- Develop and oversee the Ventilation and Occupational Hygiene Programme.

- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management measures.

- Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) standards.

- Create and maintain ventilation and occupational hygiene standards, guidelines, and procedures.

- Develop and enforce Occupational Hygiene Codes of Practice.

- Monitor and maintain the condition of ventilation and occupational hygiene equipment and instruments.

- Implement and manage Emergency Preparedness Programmes.

- Plan and coordinate ventilation construction needs.

- Manage budgets and control associated costs effectively.

- Identify and implement appropriate training programmes and interventions.

- Analyse and respond to ventilation and occupational hygiene legislation.

- Plan and execute ventilation and occupational hygiene projects, surveys, research, or audits as required within the Business Unit.
