Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a highly talented and experienced Operations Manager to join our client's team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management and a proven track record of successfully leading a team to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth and efficient running of the business
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve productivity and efficiency
- Manage and motivate a team of operational staff, including training, coaching, and performance management
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure coordination and alignment of operational activities
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on operational performance and initiatives
Requirements:
- Degree in relevant subject
- Minimum 5 years working in Operations Management role
- Excellent knowledge of Supply Chain & Logistics principles
- Preferably experience of Operational Excellence programme implementation
- Strong leadership skills
- Can do attitude and approach, focussed on pragmatic solutions
- Demonstrable influencing skills
- Thorough knowledge of regulations concerning safety and quality standards
