Job Title: Section Engineer - Mining Smelter Plant
Location: Limpopo, South Africa
Hire Resolve's Leading Mining Client are currently seeking a Section Engineer to join our team at a Mining Smelter Plant in Limpopo. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mining engineering and smelting operations, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of a specific section within the mining smelter plant
- Ensure that production targets are met and that all equipment is operating efficiently
- Develop and implement maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime
- Provide technical expertise and support to the production team
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs
- Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
- Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- GCC Mines and Works
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mining smelter plant environment
- Strong technical knowledge of smelting processes and equipment
- Proven track record of managing a team and achieving production targets
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Sound understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
