A leading packaging company is looking for an experienced General Maintenance Technician with strong experience working on blow moulding and injection moulding machines to join their team in Soweto. This is a newly created in-house role, as the company is moving away from outsourcing. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems, motors, and machinery to ensure smooth production operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on blow moulding and injection moulding machines.

• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, motors, and related equipment.

• Minimise downtime by responding quickly to breakdowns and ensuring effective troubleshooting.

• Implement maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with safety standards.

• Collaborate with production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working on blow moulding and injection moulding machines.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and motors.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks.

• Technical qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
