Position Overview:
The financial accountant, based in our Group Finance team, will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyse financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) for the company's group entities.
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end close activities.
- Perform financial statement reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies identified.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit processes.
- Assist in the preparation and consolidation of group budget and forecasts.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of an efficient and effective financial reporting system.
- Review and analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and performance indicators.
- Provide financial advice and support to internal stakeholders across the organization.
- Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc financial reports and presentations as required.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and ensure compliance in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance controls, and drive continuous improvement initiatives

- Proven experience (5 years) as a financial accountant or similar role, preferably in a group finance function.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) with the ability to apply them practically.
- Proficient with MS Office applications, particularly Excel (advanced level).
- Experience in financial statement preparation, consolidation, and analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues.
- A solid understanding of ERP systems and financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is desirable.
- Experience in working with internal and external auditors during audit processes.
- Knowledge of tax principles and regulations is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
