A well-established Financial Services Provider (FSP) is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join their Operations team as a Commission and Data Reporting Officer.This role is ideal for someone with experience in financial services reporting, data validation, and revenue-related processes, who is ready to take ownership of reporting deliverables, contribute to revenue transparency, and support accurate advisor commission payments. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, advisor services, CRM teams, and management, to ensure high standards of data accuracy and insightful reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate collection, reconciliation, and validation of commission and AUA data across internal systems (Commsplit, Wealth Connect, Seed) and provider platforms.

  • Prepare and distribute standard and ad-hoc reports with clear executive summaries, ensuring clarity, consistency, and timeliness.

  • Monitor CRM, Commsplit, and AUA data quality, proactively identifying discrepancies and driving corrective action.

  • Review workflows and streamline reporting processes for efficiency and accuracy.

  • Maintain process documentation, trackers, and reporting templates to improve transparency and continuity.

  • Take increasing ownership of regular reporting cycles and eventually manage reporting deliverables independently.

  • Collaborate with advisor support, finance, GMS, and compliance teams to ensure outputs align with business and regulatory needs.

  • Verify commission splits against signed agreements and ensure accuracy in onboarding and bookbuy valuations.

  • Support Power BI reporting development by articulating business requirements to technical teams.

  • Ensure version-controlled documentation is accessible for audit and financial control purposes.


Requirements
  • National Senior Certificate (Matric) – required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Management, Economics, Business Administration, or related field – required

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial services, ideally in operations, reporting, or revenue-related roles

  • Experience with business reporting tools/platforms advantageous

  • Strong financial acumen with an understanding of advisor remuneration structures, revenue flows, and commission-based compensation

  • Experience with structured monthly reporting cycles under pressure

  • Familiarity with commission systems (Commsplit), CRM platforms, and provider portals

  • Compliance/regulatory awareness in reporting

  • Advantageous: Power BI exposure
