An established engineering consulting firm in Cape Town, Western Cape is seeking a Civil Engineer with Quantity Surveying experience to support civil engineering construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on contract administration, site involvement, and compliance auditing. Requirements: 

  • BSc or BTech in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering (preferred)
  • Minimum: National Diploma in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in contract administration and civil engineering construction
  • Experience with measurement and compliance auditing at contract stage 5
  • On-site experience assisting Resident Engineer staff

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with contract administration and cost management on engineering projects
  • Support quantity surveying functions across multiple stages of project lifecycle
  • Conduct compliance audits and measurements, particularly at contract stage 5
  • Liaise with Resident Engineer staff during site visits and inspections
  • Prepare progress reports and documentation for project stakeholders
  • Track and manage variations and claims, and assist with budgeting and financial control
