Our client is looking for a DC Inventory Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. The company is a well-established direct-selling organisation that offers high-quality, branded products to a growing network of independent sales members. With a strong focus on empowering individuals and delivering exceptional customer service, the company is seeking a dynamic individual to manage and optimise inventory control processes, ensure compliance with operational standards, and lead a high-performance warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving efficiency in inventory accuracy, warehouse space utilisation, and strategic supply chain planning.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily cyclical counts and manage perpetual inventory tracking
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
Optimise warehouse slotting based on movement categories
Monitor and maximise warehouse space and storage locations
Manage slow-moving stock and balance picking volumes across aisles
Track order fulfilment accuracy and address discrepancies
Oversee receiving and efficient storage of supplier deliveries
Implement and maintain total product management for expiry and loss prevention
Prepare and manage the annual financial stocktake process
Generate and review daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports
Monitor inventory shrinkage and provide real-time stock movement tracking
Maintain accurate audit trails and stock readiness reports
Lead and develop the inventory team with a focus on performance and productivity
Implement training, development, and performance management processes
Ensure adherence to OHS standards and conduct safety audits
Maintain a compliant, organised, and clean warehouse environment
Oversee supplier onboarding and master data accuracy
Ensure all articles are barcoded and registered correctly
Requirements:
BCom in Logistics, or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent qualification
Relevant South African Production and Inventory Control Society qualification is advantageous
Minimum 6 years of experience in inventory management, DC operations, or logistics
At least 2 to 5 years in a managerial position
Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Thorough knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures
