VACANCY: EXECUTIVE MANAGER – REMUNERATION & BENEFITS
Location: Malmesbury, Western Cape
ABOUT THE ROLE
Hire Resolve's Client is seeking to hire a Executive Manager to join their team. It is a leading national retail and agricultural supplies organisation is seeking an experienced Executive Manager – Remuneration & Benefits to join their Human Resources team. This senior position plays a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s remuneration strategy, managing employee benefit programs, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, a strategic mindset, and a strong leadership background to enhance the employee value proposition and contribute to business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development, implementation, and governance of remuneration, benefits, and reward strategies across the organisation.
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management on compensation structures, incentive plans, and pay policies.
- Manage pension fund administration and ensure compliance with relevant tax, labour, and compensation legislation.
- Oversee the submission of statutory returns related to tax and benefits to government departments and local authorities.
- Prepare and monitor the HR departmental budget, including matters relating to collective bargaining agreements.
- Collaborate with payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely processing using HRIS and payroll systems.
- Monitor market trends and conduct benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Qualification: National Diploma in Human Resources, Compensation Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 8 years of proven experience in remuneration and benefits, ideally in the retail and/or agricultural retail industry.
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior or head of department role.
Technical Expertise:
- Advanced understanding of employment law, tax legislation, and compensation frameworks.
- Extensive knowledge of pension fund administration and employee benefits.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Payroll systems experience is essential; working knowledge of SAGE 300 will be a strong advantage.
