Hire Resolve's client, a forward-thinking project engineering company specializing in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering solutions, is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team in Gqeberha. With operations extending across the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, and Gauteng, this company is known for delivering innovative, high-quality engineering services tailored to a variety of industry sectors.

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, strengthening client relationships, and expanding market presence across South Africa.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.

  • Manage and update CRM systems to ensure accurate customer data and engagement tracking.

  • Implement business development strategies aligned with marketing and corporate goals.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and proactively secure Requests for Quotations (RFQs).

  • Convert high-priority tenders into confirmed sales through strategic bid management and client follow-up.

  • Coordinate marketing material development and contribute to brand positioning efforts.

  • Ensure effective internal communication and regular reporting to company directors.

  • Manage digital marketing initiatives, including social media and digital publications.

  • Travel as necessary to meet clients, attend industry events, and support sales efforts.


Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.

  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales and marketing experience within the engineering sector.

  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.

  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.

  • Good technical understanding of engineering principles paired with business acumen.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and goal-driven with a customer-centric mindset.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
