Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled Cost and Financial Accountant on behalf of our esteemed client, a leading manufacturing company based in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, experience in a manufacturing environment, and a solid understanding of cost accounting and statutory compliance processes.

Responsibiilities
  • Manage all aspects of Cost Accounting
  • Maintain and control the Fixed Asset Register (FAR)
  • Oversee Financial Accounting and group reporting processes
  • Ensure Statutory Compliance with SARS and other relevant regulatory bodies
  • Administer and maintain the Syspro system, including BOMs, inventory, and monthly/year-end closures
  • Coordinate and execute stock takes, including variance analysis
  • Monitor and update selling prices based on cost drivers
  • Enforce compliance with Health & Safety regulations
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality, ethics, and integrity
  • Foster professional communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements
  • B.Com Degree or Cost & Management Accounting Degree (or equivalent)
  • 3-5 years' relevant experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • SAIPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
  • Proven experience in Standard Costing methods
  • Strong working knowledge of Syspro ERP system, including:
    • BOMs and standard costing
    • Inventory management
    • Monthly and annual financial closures
  • Proficiency in Excel (Advanced level – pivot tables, SQL tables)
  • Solid understanding of Tax compliance and legislative updates
