Hire Resolve's client, a diversified metals recovery company, is seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join their team on a fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with a strong background in accounting and financial reporting to contribute to a dynamic and growing company in the metals recovery industry. Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
  • Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.
  • Process and review journal entries.
  • Assist in preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare VAT, PAYE, and other tax returns in accordance with SARS regulations.
  • Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
  • Support cash flow management.
  • Collaborate with internal departments for financial queries.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the mining or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with SAP, Pastel, or other accounting software.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and South African tax regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
